TGIF

So glad today is Friday! I will be finishing up my house, and getting some more projects done.
I am working on a mini-album for my best friend. She had an adorable baby boy a couple weeks ago, and I am just soo excited for her! :) She chose a monkey theme for her nursery, so of course I am using monkeys.. I just hope she likes it. I will be posting pics, hopefully this weekend. I also have the pictures of my scraproom uploaded. I will be editing those and putting them up this weekend as well.
I sure hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Today is our last little break before we have to get back into the routine again.. I am soo looking forward to
homeschooling next year. It sure has been nice having Nicholas home. :) He has actually been in a better mood lately. :)
Have a wonderful Friday!! :)

Spring Break

I sure have enjoyed spring break this past week. We started the week off by celebrating Nicholas' 9th birthday. I am still in shock he is 9!! I just wonder where all the time has gone?? It was like yesterday seeing him for the first time.. All that bright blonde hair! He was a beauty. I will have to share a layout I made many years ago, that just captured him soo perfectly.
I am just soo glad I get to spend my life with my sweet boys. :) I am blessed.
We will be ending our Spring Break with swimming and scrapbooking! I sure hope to add some more project soon.
Hope everyone is enjoying their week! :)

Happy Easter!!!!!

Today is such a beautiful day! An empty tomb found! Our Savior is Risen! :) This is one of my favorite holidays. It isn't about the easter bunny, or jelly beans, it is about Our precious Savior overcoming death!
I am soo blessed that He gave His life for all of us. What a beautiful sacrifice.
I hope you all enjoy today, and know Jesus is always there for us.
Happy Easter!!!!!!!  :)

I made these little Valentine treats for Nicholas' class for their Valentine's Party. Nicholas picked out the stamp he wanted to use, and I just colored it in. I used SU markers, and Sakura glaze pens. I also inked the edges of the white cardstock with SU ink. I embossed the red cardstock with the swiss dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug. The stamp is from the dollar stamps by Inkadinkado. I bought them at Joanns.
Thanks for looking! :)

Simple Valentine Card

I made this card for Freddy for Valentines Day. Used the Cuttlebug hearts folder, and one of the extra hearts I had left over from the mini album I made. (see below) The ribbon is from my stash, not sure what company is from. The button is from PaperTrey Ink.

Envelope Mini-Album

This is a quick little album I made for my mother in law and grandmother in law, for Valentine's Day.My husband wanted them to have some pictures so I made this up really quick. I used business size envelopes and just covered them with patterned paper. I believe the paper is from a My Mind's Eye Stack I bought from Costco, many years ago. The flowers are from the Heidi Swapp line, and the buttons are from PaperTrey Ink. I also used SU ink to ink the edges of the paper. The heart is cutout using the Hannah Montana Cartridge from Cricut. Why do I have a Hannah Montana cartridge when I have only boys?? It has some really neat musical elements on it. It is really a pretty neat cartridge. I also used a Martha Stewart border Punch to embellish the edges of the album. Also some stickles for to give the hearts a little glitz.
I have a couple other albums I am working on for mother's day and father's day, I will post those after the days come. :)

Card Using Iris Folding Technique

This card was what we made at our March Stamp Club meeting. All the supplies for this card are Stampin Up. The patterned paper is the retired tea party designers series paper. The flowers are cut out using the cricut Walk In my Garden Cartridge. I also used the swiss dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug. Iris folding is a lot easier than it looks. I really enjoyed learning this technique, and it just looks so elegant on projects.
I have a lot more projects to upload. I am soo glad I can finally upload pictures again!! :)
